Battery Point Distillery 'Port/Red IPA Finish' Various Size Samples

Our Port Cask / Red IPA is finished in a combination of BPD ex muscat ex whisky casks that Last Rites Brewing Co. previously used for their Barrel Aged Red IPA, aptly named ‘Right Door, Wrong Hotel!’ We then used these barrels to create our first beer cask finish, single malt release by blending a combination of 20 and 30 litre port casks, decanting into the seasoned beer casks and allowing it to sit for around four months to produce this Red IPA finish. Jaffa orange in colour. Fresh citrus florals, orange cake and apricot on the nose. Caramel, vanilla, dark chocolate spice and subtle hops on the pallet. We hope you enjoy our Red IPA finish release.
